Who are IPASS?
IPASS, the Irish Payroll Association, joined the Bright family in 2023. With over 25 years’ expertise, they are a leading provider of payroll and VAT training in Ireland, and the publisher of the IPASS Book, the reference that Ask powered by IPASS is built on.
Do I need to sign up?
No. Ask powered by IPASS is built into BrightPay Cloud, so there is nothing to download and no separate account to set up. Log in to BrightPay and it’s there.
Where do I find it in BrightPay?
Look to the top bar in BrightPay for the sparkle icon on the right-hand side, just to the left of the notification bell. Click it and start asking. You can also [watch where to find it](https://hello.brightsg.com/ask-ipass-brightpay-cloud-customers#videos) above.
I already use ASK IPASS. What has changed?
Only where you find it. Ask powered by IPASS is ASK IPASS built into BrightPay, so it works exactly the same, draws on the same IPASS Book content and gives you the same answers. You no longer need to log in to the IPASS website to use it.
How long is it free for?
Ask powered by IPASS is free of charge until 7th January 2027.
Is my data secure?
Yes. It is fully GDPR-compliant and EU data-resident. Your data is stored securely on EU servers, is never used to train AI models, and is never shared with third parties.
Does it replace my professional judgement?
No, and it isn’t designed to. It handles the straightforward lookups and drafting so you can focus your judgement where it truly matters.
