Auto renewal FAQs

We would like to remind you that your yearly subscription to Thesaurus Payroll Manager will renew shortly. Payment will be processed week commencing 24th November 2025.

We've created this FAQs page to answer some common questions you may have.

View Thesaurus Payroll Manager and Thesaurus Connect 2026 pricing here. Your saved payment method in your BrightID account will be charged unless you cancel your subscription before 27th October 2025. 

Thesaurus Payroll Manager 2026 will be available to download in mid-December,  and we’ll notify you as soon as it becomes available.

Will BrightExpenses remain free in 2026?

Yes! BrightExpenses, which we launched in 2024 to help with Enhanced Reporting Requirements, will continue to be free for Thesaurus Payroll Manager customers in 2026!

Payment and BrightID 

How will the payment be processed?

The payment will be processed using the saved payment method in your BrightID account.

How can I update my payment method?

Log into your BrightID account here using your email address and password. Under the billing tab, add your new payment method. We accept payment by direct debit or debit/credit card. You can then remove your old payment details as your new one will automatically be marked as default.

Please note: Changes made to your payment method during or after week commencing 24th November 2025 will apply to 2027 licence payment only.

How can I edit my invoice details?

If you need to update the details on your invoice, please log into your BrightID account here. Under the Billing tab, click ‘Edit’ on the saved payment method and update the necessary details. Click ‘Save’ once all changes have been made

Please note: We do not support a change of the company name on your 2026 invoice after an auto-renewal invoice is issued.

Where can I update the billing contact?
To change the billing contact email address, please contact paymentservices@brighstg.com.
Does BrightID have my most up-to-date information?

To ensure your BrightID profile has the correct details, please visit your BrightID account and verify the following:  

  • Your email address 
  • Your region (should be set to Ireland)

Thesaurus Payroll Manager (2026)

Where can I view my invoice and licence key?

You can view your invoice under the Billing tab in your BrightID account after the payment is initiated. You will also be emailed a copy. If you do not receive it, please check your spam folder.

Your license key for the 2026 tax year will be listed in the Licenses tab and the new 2026 software can  be downloaded from there.

When will Thesaurus Payroll Manager 2025 be available to download?

Thesaurus Payroll Manager 2026 will be available to download from our website in mid-December. You will receive notification through email once available.

Is my licence valid for 12 months from the date of purchase?

Our payroll software licences are issued per tax year. The current 2025 licence is valid until the 31st December 2025. From 1st January, you’ll require a 2026 licence to process payroll for the 2026 tax year.

Can I pay monthly for my Thesaurus Payroll Manager licence?

Upfront payment is required when purchasing a Thesaurus Payroll Manager 2026 licence. We cannot accept monthly payments for this licence. However, if you prefer monthly payments, consider switching to BrightPay Cloud software which offers both annual and monthly billing options.

I purchased a 2026 licence and would now like to change the licence type or switch to BrightPay Cloud. What should I do?

Cancellations

How can I cancel my auto renewal for Thesaurus Payroll Manager 2026?

To cancel your auto-renewal, log into your BrightID account here. Under the licences tab, click the spanner tool icon opposite the 2025 licence details. Switch the 'Auto Renew' toggle off to cancel the auto renewal. Please note that cancellations must be completed by 27th October.

Can I purchase Thesaurus Payroll Manager 2026 desktop at a later date?

Existing Thesaurus Payroll Manager customers will be charged for the 2026 licence week commencing 24th November 2025.
