What is cloud payroll software and why should I use it?

BrightPay Cloud, on the other hand, is our upcoming cloud-based version, which brings the same powerful payroll features to a secure online environment. It provides flexibility with access from any device, automatic updates, real-time collaboration, and secure data storage. BrightPay Cloud is designed to deliver greater convenience and peace of mind, with your data safely stored in the cloud.

What new features will I get with BrightPay cloud?

BrightPay Cloud will include all the same functionalities of BrightPay Desktop, plus:

Will it be easy to switch from my current payroll software to BrightPay cloud?

Yes, switching to BrightPay Cloud will be simple! If you're currently using BrightPay Desktop or Thesaurus Payroll Manager, we’ve developed an easy import option to move your payroll data to BrightPay Cloud within minutes.

If you’re using another payroll software, we provide an import facility to help you get started. Plus, our dedicated migration team is available to support you throughout the transition.

When will the cloud product be available?
BrightPay Cloud will be available this December, just in time for the new tax year. Stay tuned for the exact release date and get ready to start the new tax year with our exciting new features.
When will I be able to see how it works?

Will the desktop version of BrightPay still be available?
Yes, BrightPay for Windows will continue to be available and fully supported for the foreseeable future.
Will I be able to use BrightPay cloud on a Mac?
Yes! While BrightPay Desktop is only available for Windows PCs, BrightPay Cloud can be accessed from any device, including Macs.
Will I be able to use BrightPay Connect with BrightPay cloud?
No, BrightPay Cloud and BrightPay Connect are two separate products. BrightPay Connect only integrates with BrightPay Desktop, and provides additional features like automatic data backups, annual leave requests, payslip history, and an employer dashboard for bureau licence users. A subscription to BrightPay Cloud will include many of the benefits of BrightPay Connect such as automated payslip distribution and annual leave requests. More details about BrightPay Cloud’s features (and how they compare to BrightPay Connect) will be released in the coming months.
